How to use the Bing Keyword Suggestions

  1. Enter a seed keyword

Start broad, such as “bing seo” or “running shoes”. One to three words works best.

  2. Choose a market

Suggestions come from Bing autocomplete for the country and language you select.

  3. Use the ideas

Copy the list, download a CSV, or click “Check rank” next to any idea to see where you rank.

Using Bing autocomplete for keyword research

Autocomplete suggestions reflect searches real people run on Bing, so they are a reliable source of long-tail keywords and content ideas. The tool collects suggestions for your seed keyword, for the seed followed by each letter from a to z, and for common question and comparison patterns.

  • Questions make great H2 headings and FAQ entries.
  • Comparisons (“x vs y”) reveal what people weigh up before choosing.
  • Related searches show modifiers such as brands, locations and features worth covering.

From keyword idea to Bing ranking

Pick ideas that match what your page actually offers, then check where you already rank with the Bing rank checker. Keywords where you sit just outside the top 10 are often the fastest to improve: refresh the content, answer the exact question and add internal links from related pages. For search volumes and trends, combine these ideas with the Keyword Research report in Bing Webmaster Tools.

Bing Keyword Suggestions FAQ

Where do the suggestions come from?

From Bing’s public autocomplete service for the market you choose, the same suggestions searchers see while typing in Bing.

Does the tool show search volume?

No. Autocomplete shows what people search for, not how often. Bing Webmaster Tools includes a free Keyword Research report with volume estimates.

Why do some keywords return only a few ideas?

Very specific or new topics have fewer autocomplete entries. Try a shorter, broader seed keyword to get more ideas.

Can I export the keywords?

Yes. Use “Copy all” to paste the list anywhere, or download a CSV that includes the group of each keyword.
